Timelines
Whenever possible, the social media team requests two weeks of lead time for event coverage requests, from planning to post-event follow-up. Managing numerous projects across Biola, this time frame allows us to effectively strategize, prioritize, and ensure high-quality and engaging content for events university wide. It also gives us time to coordinate with partners, prepare assets, and schedule posts to maximize engagement.
We understand that last-minute needs arise. In these cases, we can typically accommodate social media requests within 48 hours to 24 hours ahead of the event. For simpler story posts, tag @biolauniversity and we will reshare within 8 hours or less.
The feasibility of these requests depends on the complexity and timing of other event coverage responsibilities, so we encourage campus partners to reach out as early as possible for optimal support.
For coverage requests, questions about social media, or social media training, please email social.media@biola.edu. For day of or last minute requests, please also reach out to cooper.dowd@biola.edu.
Rates
All social media requests and training are provided with zero fee to Biola departments and student-run accounts.
