Professor of Physics
Dr. John Bloom鈥檚 interests center on physics and the integration of science and Christianity. For 31 years at the undergraduate level, he taught Physics, Astronomy, Electronics, a variety of labs, and senior seminars. Dr. Bloom brought greater theological and historical depth to biblical integration in teaching the Biblical Studies Department鈥檚 integration seminar: Christianity and the Natural Sciences.
At the graduate level he currently teaches Modern Physics, Cosmology and Design, the Intelligent Design Seminar, and other courses for the MA, Science and Religion Program, as well as Scientific Apologetics for the MA in Christian Apologetics. He is the author of The Natural Sciences: A Student鈥檚 Guide, which surveys the relationship between Christianity and science, and demonstrates how God鈥檚 glory is clearly seen through the discoveries of science. He has published numerous articles on the relation of science and faith, on fulfilled prophecy, and on archaeology.
