President Corey welcomes incoming students at a special ceremony dedicating the Spring semester

Nearly 2,000 students, faculty and staff gathered in Biola's Chase Gymnasium on Monday, January 28 to kick off the first day of classes at the Spring 2013 Convocation Ceremony.

President Corey charged and commissioned new students to academic excellence and to uphold Biola's mission and vision. Returning faculty surrounded the new students, lending their support.

Provost Dr. David P. Nystrom gave the official Convocation address entitled, "The Hidden Plan of God". He challenged the Biola community with teaching from Ephesians 1:9-10, leaving faculty, staff, and students inspired as the Spring semester begins.
