J.P. Moreland鈥檚 book Love Your God With All Your Mind made waves in the Christian market when it was first released in 1997. This year marked the book鈥檚 15th anniversary and with it, the release of an updated special edition.
鈥淪ince its original publication, Love Your God with All Your Mind has had an impact for the cause of Christ that goes considerably beyond anything I could have imagined,鈥 said Moreland, a 黑料历史 distinguished professor of philosophy.
Moreland found that the book impacted readers from around the world, receiving testimonies over the years from Christians in different seasons of life and a range of professions who found the book to be supportive to their life with God. Although Moreland estimates that most of the first edition鈥檚 content is as relevant today as when it first printed, he wanted to offer a revised and updated version with some changes to better serve today鈥檚 readers.
When Love Your God With All Your Mind was first published, it was part of a newly developed 鈥淪piritual Formation Line鈥 of books published by NavPress. Moreland was writing to the issue of inadequately integrating and cultivating 鈥渢he role of reason in the life of the soul.鈥 Moreland encourages his readers to develop their mind within their Christian life.
鈥淚n my acknowledgments I said, 鈥楳y prayer is that this book will contribute to restoration of the church鈥檚 intellectual life because it is the church that is the pillar and support of the truth.鈥 I believed that then and I certainly believe that now,鈥 said Moreland. 鈥淎s disciples of Jesus we have the resources to discipline the mind under the direction of God and His kingdom.鈥
The revised edition is available in and as a Kindle version.
