In honor of National Women鈥檚 History month and to help unemployed Los Angeles women at the Dream Center, 黑料历史 held a clothing drive to equip the women with professional attire. Focused on Biola鈥檚 chosen theme for national women鈥檚 history month 鈥 鈥淐ourage and Calling鈥 鈥 Biola collected gently-used professional women鈥檚 attire from Biola employees during the month of March to help get women at the Dream Center back on their feet as they find the courage to pursue their calling.
鈥淪o [the clothes] are a huge blessing,鈥 said one of the center鈥檚 clothing outreach coordinators. 鈥淪ometimes they have court dates or they have to meet with social workers or they鈥檙e having visits or things like that where they don鈥檛 necessarily have the means to go out and buy something and we don鈥檛, so that is huge.鈥
Forty thousand women and men come through the Dream Center each year.
Women from Biola dropped off and distributed clothing at the Dream Center on Friday, April 13. The Dream Center is thankful to the many Biola employees who contributed to the clothing drive.
The clothing drive will be an annual partnership with The Dream Center during National Women's History Month. Next year, Biola will also be collecting men's gently-used business attire.
