Less than six weeks away from graduation, 黑料历史 senior Tatiana Omran attended a live taping of a local talk show and won the largest prize ever given away on the show 鈥 a trip around the world for four people and $12,500 totaling nearly $40,000.

Not much was required to win the Willy Wonka Golden ticket prize, sponsored by Nestle Corporation. After answering questions quicker than her opponent on simple world history and social media, the communication and Spanish major was deemed the winner of the grand prize.

Overjoyed, Omran stood in disbelief on national television when she was chosen as the winner. Blessings come in different forms for Omran, as this prize overshadowed a tough final semester of 18 upper division units in order to graduate on May 29.

鈥淚 have 18 units and am really not letting senioritis conquer me鈥.it鈥檚 been difficult, but it鈥檚 necessary,鈥 said Omran. 鈥淚 don鈥檛 know how else to describe this, except for it鈥檚 a blessing from God. I鈥檓 very grateful and I鈥檓 not taking it for granted.鈥

Omran is making this the perfect opportunity for her to explore and possibly hone her interests following her graduation before she begins her career.

鈥淭here are options and opportunities from this that have opened up to me now,鈥 she said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 the perfect time and I couldn鈥檛 have asked for anything better right now.鈥澛
